After a strenuous hike through the steep cliffs of this windswept location, I spent an amazing afternoon exploring the unusual aspects and rock formations of the cove. It was an exhilarating experience to be alone with the thundering ocean - beautiful, and yet still threatening in her unbridled power. Rising before dawn the next morning, I set my tripod for this shot to record the incredible light show of colour reflected off the rock gardens in the foreground. This image conveys the mood of this beautiful location perfectly.
