Becoming a U.S. citizen was the biggest day of my life. I’ll never forget the feeling – I had a total rush throughout my whole body. It was like being born again. I was so proud. The U.S. flag really sums up the beauty of America – its colors, the flowing lines and the stars all represent the beauty and independence of this nation. I deliberately chose a slow shutter speed to accentuate the movement of the flag to give it that real artistic feel. Waiting for that perfect windy day was the secret. I took hundreds of exposures – each one looked totally different. This frame really spoke to me – totally proud – the same feeling I got the day I became a US Citizen.
