My goal is to always create more than just a photograph–it’s a special feeling that I try to convey. The East Coast has got such a presence, and I wanted to capture this on film. I had been on Cape Cod for over two weeks in late fall, with boring, sunny skies–useless for a shot. I waited and waited, and finally this sunset just roared. The cottage added the final touch to the picture. I just wanted to be inside there, by the fireplace, watching the sunset. I pressed the shutter as the sunset peaked. The cloud formations were unreal; something I had never seen before. What a magical place, and a magical night.
