There’s something regal about the towers of the Manhattan Bridge and I wanted to capture that in this shot. I chose an early evening shot with the natural light fading and the city’s lights coming up – adding some bright orange highlights to the East River. I love the contrasting colors, the golds and purples, that truly add to the regal effect. When I looked through the lens I could almost feel the strength, history and grandeur as I snapped the shutter.
