I set the alarm early and headed up to Tunnel Lookout. As I drove through the dark heavy mist blanketing the mountains, I wondered what was around the next bend. After 30 minutes of treacherous fog, I finally burst through the barrier and was stunned by the valley below filled with fog. The overnight temperature inversion created a surreal mist, swirling through the treetops. This scene looked like an painting, and I pressed the shutter to capture the morning calm.
